Authorship and Contributorship (CRediT Taxonomy) Policy

The Journal of Innovative Research in Management Sciences (JIRMS) is committed to ensuring that authorship accurately reflects individual scholarly contributions and that all contributors receive appropriate recognition. The Journal promotes transparency, accountability, and responsible authorship through the Contributor Roles Taxonomy (CRediT).

Authorship

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made a substantial intellectual contribution to the research and who accept public responsibility for the content of the published work. Individuals who have not made a substantial intellectual contribution should not be listed as authors.

All authors must:

  • have made a significant scholarly contribution to the research;
  • approve the final version of the manuscript before submission;
  • agree to be accountable for the accuracy and integrity of the work; and
  • consent to its submission and publication.

Guest, gift, honorary, and ghost authorship are considered unacceptable and may constitute publication misconduct.

Contributorship (CRediT Taxonomy)

JIRMS adopts the Contributor Roles Taxonomy (CRediT) to improve transparency regarding each author's contribution. Authors are encouraged to identify their respective contributions using applicable CRediT roles, including:

  • Conceptualization
  • Methodology
  • Software (where applicable)
  • Validation
  • Formal Analysis
  • Investigation
  • Data Curation
  • Writing – Original Draft
  • Writing – Review & Editing
  • Visualization
  • Supervision
  • Project Administration
  • Funding Acquisition

The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all listed contributions accurately reflect the work performed by each author.

Corresponding Author Responsibilities

The corresponding author acts on behalf of all co-authors throughout the submission, peer-review, and publication process and is responsible for:

  • ensuring that all authors meet the Journal's authorship criteria;
  • obtaining the approval of all co-authors before submission;
  • ensuring the accuracy of author information and contributor roles;
  • managing communication with the Journal; and
  • ensuring that conflicts of interest and funding sources are fully disclosed.

Changes to Authorship

Any request to add, remove, or rearrange authors after manuscript submission must be supported by the written agreement of all authors and is subject to editorial approval. The Journal reserves the right to request additional information where an authorship dispute or concern arises.

Compliance

JIRMS manages authorship and contributorship in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Core Practices, the Contributor Roles Taxonomy (CRediT), and the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing developed by DOAJ, COPE, and OASPA.
