Author Self-Archiving (Green Open Access) Policy

The Journal of Innovative Research in Management Sciences (JIRMS) supports the principles of Green Open Access and encourages authors to maximize the visibility, accessibility, and long-term impact of their scholarly work. Authors may archive and share their research in accordance with this policy while preserving the integrity of the published scholarly record.

Self-Archiving

  • Authors may deposit and share the following versions of their manuscript:
  • Preprint – the manuscript before peer review.
  • Accepted Author Manuscript (AAM) – the version accepted after peer review but before journal copyediting and typesetting.
  • Version of Record (VoR) – the final published version available on the JIRMS website.

These versions may be deposited in:

  • Institutional repositories;
  • Subject or disciplinary repositories;
  • Personal or institutional websites; and
  • Other recognized non-commercial scholarly repositories.

JIRMS does not impose an embargo period on self-archiving.

Conditions for Archiving

When archiving the Accepted Author Manuscript or the Version of Record, authors should:

  • acknowledge the Journal of Innovative Research in Management Sciences (JIRMS) as the original place of publication;
  • provide the complete bibliographic citation of the published article; and
  • include the article's Digital Object Identifier (DOI), where available, linking to the published Version of Record.
  • Self-archiving complements, but does not replace, the Journal's long-term preservation arrangements described in the Digital Preservation and Archiving Policy.

Research Visibility

JIRMS encourages authors to enhance the discoverability and impact of their research by:

  • maintaining an up-to-date ORCID record;
  • adding published JIRMS articles to their ORCID profile and institutional repository;
  • using the article DOI when sharing or citing published work; and
  • maintaining accurate publication records across recognized scholarly platforms.

These practices improve author identification, research visibility, citation accuracy, and the global dissemination of scholarly work.

Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright in their published work. All articles published in JIRMS are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence, which permits sharing, distribution, adaptation, and reuse, provided appropriate attribution is given to the original authors and the Journal.

Compliance

This policy supports the principles of Green Open Access and aligns with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Core Practices, the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing (DOAJ, COPE, and OASPA, and internationally recognized standards for open scholarly communication.
