Corrections, Retractions and Expressions of Concern Policy

The Journal of Innovative Research in Management Sciences (JIRMS) is committed to maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the scholarly record. Where errors or concerns are identified after publication, the Journal takes appropriate action to ensure that the published literature remains transparent, accurate, and trustworthy.

Post-publication amendments are made in accordance with internationally recognized publication ethics principles and are intended to preserve, rather than obscure, the scholarly record.

Corrections

JIRMS may publish a correction where a published article contains an error that affects the accuracy, clarity, or completeness of the publication but does not invalidate the overall findings or conclusions.

Corrections may include, but are not limited to, errors in author information, affiliations, acknowledgements, funding statements, figures, tables, references, or other factual or typographical inaccuracies.

Retractions

A published article may be retracted where reliable evidence demonstrates that the findings or publication are seriously compromised, including but not limited to:

  • Research misconduct, including data fabrication or falsification;
  • Plagiarism or duplicate publication;
  • Serious ethical or legal violations;
  • Major errors that invalidate the findings or conclusions; or
  • Manipulation of the editorial or peer-review process.

Retraction notices remain permanently linked to the original article to preserve the integrity and transparency of the scholarly record.

Expressions of Concern

An Expression of Concern may be issued where substantial concerns have been raised regarding the integrity or reliability of a published article, but the available evidence is inconclusive or an investigation is ongoing. Where appropriate, the Expression of Concern will be updated, replaced by a correction, or followed by a retraction once the matter has been resolved.

Editorial Responsibility

The Editorial Office evaluates post-publication concerns fairly, objectively, and confidentially. Authors may be invited to provide clarification or supporting information before an editorial decision is reached. Where appropriate, the Journal may consult reviewers, independent experts, or relevant institutions during the investigation.

Transparency

All corrections, retractions, and expressions of concern are published promptly, remain permanently accessible, and are clearly linked to the original article to ensure transparency and preserve the integrity of the scholarly record.

Note. This policy applies exclusively to published articles. Requests concerning the removal of submitted or accepted manuscripts before publication are governed by the Journal's Manuscript Withdrawal Policy.

Policy Compliance

JIRMS manages post-publication amendments in accordance with the COPE Retraction Guidelines, the COPE Core Practices, and the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing developed by DOAJ, COPE, and OASPA.
